The Bridge offers an array of programs and services for area youth and their families. Our programs are centered around these core areas:
The Bridge Youth Advocacy Program is a mentoring program for children between 7 and 15 years old. Mentoring is a proven method of promoting social skill development and healthy decisions.
In addition to individual counseling, The Bridge facilitates many group therapy programs. Many programs are offered on-site and others meet at area schools and are in partnership with school student programs.
Our mission here at The Bridge is to help young people and families achieve social and emotional health. The Bridge accomplishes its mission by providing crisis intervention, comprehensive counseling and therapy services, and a highly successful mentoring program aimed at prevention. Services are available to all Palatine Township residents regardless of ability to pay.
The Bridge Youth and Family Services was started in 1965 by a group of progressive community leaders who saw the rising need for more in depth social service that was not currently being offered. Palatine Township became the second township in Illinois to address this need.
