Message from the Executive Director
Parent Education
It is incredibly important to our clients'
success that we provide the entire family with support services. For
parents, we provide classes and groups that provide them with the tools
necessary to navigate through troubling waters. Below are two of the parent education classes
currently offered:
Parenting
the Non-Compliant Child
This is a group for
caregivers with explosive, defiant, or emotionally reactive children.
Groups help parents develop and adhere to a plan for effectively
responding to provocation and misbehavior.
Parents Achieving Success
This group helps caregivers develop basic parenting techniques and knowledge of child development. Special emphasis is placed on appropriate discipline techniques.
One-on-one parenting
advice is also available for all caregivers seeking support.
The Bridge also offers a myriad of other groups for children and parents throughout the year.
