The Bridge Youth Council is a youth-driven leadership development group that works to enhance the skills of area youth through service learning projects. All activities are developed and implemented by the members of the Youth Council.

Any Palatine Township high school students are eligible to participate. Youth Council projects have included Adopt-a-Highway, Battle of the Bands, tutoring at Edgebrook Community Center , activities with senior citizens, gifts and letters to sick children, community drives for the food pantry, Red Ribbon Week activities at their own schools and in the community, and other worthwhile causes.

Youth Council members educate themselves and their peers on issues of interest to them and select the projects that they believe will make a difference. They also pledge to be good role models by abstaining from alcohol, tobacco and other drugs and leading healthy lifestyles.
